This coming Friday, 20 September, is the Global Climate Strike – with more than 150 countries round the world taking part. Details of the London strike action are included on https://ukscn.org/events/london-global-climate-strike/, from which you will see that people are assembling at Millbank at 11 am. While you can of course go there, Friends of the Earth groups are assembling – also at 11 am – on Parliament Square by the statue of Nelson Mandela – which is in the south-west corner of Parliament Square, the opposite corner to the statue of Winston Churchill (map here); we would encourage you to assemble here with other Brent people – we will be joining up with the main group in due course.
Here are the videos of our meeting on Green Jobs, at the Bridge Park Community and Leisure Centre, Stonebridge Park, on September 11th 2019. Kindly filmed by Pete Murry, and conveniently split into sections for easy reference:

7 members of Brent FOE and Divest Brent protested outside Barclays Bank in Cricklewood last Saturday. Barclays is one of the worst of the UK banks for investment in the Fossil Fuel industry. Between 2016 and 2018 it financed fossil fuels to the tune of over $85bn.
